Informed Consent

I'm curious to know how everyone is handling informed consent. As an informal poll on the topic, are you currently using:

1) signed document or

2) verbal, or

3) what's informed consent?.......oops!

On my consent form I have clients inital a specific line indicating that they have seen the effects if the techniques and grant permission to apply the techniques at my descretion. Understand that by this point they are already a little worried about what they have gotten themselves into. Gua Sha is far and away one of the nicer things I do. I have snapshots of some of my other work on my blog if anyone cares to peek. I do not publish pics of the Gua Sha effects because it looks so bad and people in general would take it to be far more aggressive then it actually is. imo.

I haven't formally used Gua Sha on my regular massage clients. Those I have tried it on are my regular, willing guinea pigs. None of them have minded the temporary side effects as they go away quickly enough and I've always been up front with them.
